Our therapist, Miles, combines professional training in counselling with hands-on experience as a primary school teacher and former Childline counsellor. This background brings deep insight into the many ways children and young people communicate, especially those who are neurodivergent, including with ADHD and autism. Sessions are always flexible and responsive to the individual, whether a child is quiet, talkative, creatively inclined or unsure what to do at first, the focus remains on meeting them where they are.

We aim to cultivate a therapeutic space where young people feel seen, safe and free to be themselves. By supporting emotional regulation, confidence and resilience in a respectful, non-pressured environment, our CYP counselling nurtures growth that feels meaningful to each child or young person and their unique journey.

Access to Work is a UK government scheme that provides financial and practical support to help people with disabilities or health conditions, including ADHD, Autism and more succeed in their jobs.

It’s designed to cover costs for things that make working easier and more accessible, such as specialized equipment, coaching, transport, or adjustments not typically covered by your employer.

At Polaris Counselling Hub, we are committed to supporting individuals who have been granted Access to Work funding. Whether you are seeking counselling or coaching support, we aim to create a safe and supportive environment where you can thrive both personally and professionally.

If you are looking for a tailored quote, would like to explore working with one of our practitioners, or simply want to learn more about how we can support you, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Book your first session for free!

You can choose from one of our friendly therapists or our neurodivergent coach. If you’re not sure who to book with, feel free to reach out and we’ll support you in finding the right person.

Your first session is completely free, lasts 30 minutes, and is designed to help you find the right fit. You’re welcome to meet with more than one of our therapists if that helps you decide who feels best for you.

Accessible support matters

We know that private counselling isn’t always affordable and needing support shouldn’t depend on finances. If cost is a barrier right now, you still deserve care and understanding.

While we may not always be the right fit at this time, we’re committed to helping people find support wherever they can. Below is a list of trusted free services that may be able to offer support -
