Meet Gordon

Hi I’m gordon

If you’re navigating big life changes whether that’s adjusting to a new role, recovering from illness or injury, or supporting someone through their own challenges I’m here to offer a grounded, compassionate, and flexible approach to therapy.

My journey began in the NHS, where I supported people across mental health, independent living, and neurological care. This work gave me deep insight into how life-altering conditions like acquired brain injuries and neurological differences affect not only individuals but also those around them.

I continue to support clients facing anxiety, burnout, low mood, and stress especially those who are neurodivergent, work in caring professions, or are experiencing major life transitions.

Having worked alongside autistic individuals, I truly value the uniqueness each person brings. Autism isn’t something to be fixed but understood. In our work together, I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your identity, masking, burnout, or simply be yourself a place to process and make sense of how you experience life.

I also understand that some experiences carry deep pain and shame, making it hard to talk about them. That’s why I offer emotional holding a calm, accepting space where you don’t need to filter, apologies, or explain everything right away. Nothing is too much, too messy, or too broken to be explored. You’re welcome just as you are.

Alongside counselling, I work in Practice Education and Development within the NHS, supporting staff wellbeing and professional growth. I know how overwhelming it can feel to carry responsibility while trying to care for yourself and you don’t have to do that alone.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling with a Pluralistic-Informed Practice. This means I tailor our work to suit your needs. Whether you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or just not quite yourself lately, we can explore what you need at your own pace.

In our sessions, you’ll find a safe, non-judgmental space where your experience is met with empathy, acceptance, and respect. If you’re looking for a counsellor who brings both lived experience and a genuine, human approach, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you as you explore what matters to you.
