‘Pay what you can’ counselling at Polaris Counselling Hub
what is ‘Pay What You Can’ Counselling
In response to the sudden closure of Mental Health Aberdeen and the loss of its free counselling services, Polaris Counselling Hub is committed to supporting our community through this difficult time. We are offering a limited number of ‘Pay What You Can’ counselling spaces to those in need. This model allows individuals to access professional counselling without the barrier of cost, ensuring that support is available to anyone, regardless of financial circumstances.
Who can access this service?
This support is open to anyone who feels they would benefit from counselling. Whether you’ve been affected by the closure of MHA or are experiencing challenges that have left you seeking support, you are welcome here.
How much does it cost?
You decide what is affordable for you. Clients can contribute anything from nothing at all up to our full session fee of £70. No questions will be asked. This is about accessibility, dignity and trust.
How long does the support last?
Each client accessing the ‘Pay What You Can’ option will be offered up to six counselling sessions at this rate. This time-limited support aims to offer meaningful therapeutic input while allowing us to extend this opportunity to as many people as possible.
How to apply?
To request a space, please complete the form below to join our waiting list. As soon as a space becomes available, we will contact you to arrange a short consultation. This consultation does not count as one of your six sessions and is simply a chance to discuss your needs and explore if we’re the right fit to support you.
